Creating a professional invoice doesn't need to be complicated. Follow these steps to make sure nothing important is missed.
Include your business name, address, phone number, email, and (if applicable) your GSTIN. If you have a logo, add it to make your invoice look more professional.
Include the customer or company name, address, and contact details, along with their GSTIN if they are a registered business.
Use a unique, sequential invoice number (e.g. INV-2026-001) so you can track and reference invoices easily later.
For each item, include a clear description, quantity, rate, and any applicable discount or tax rate.
Double-check your subtotal, tax, and grand total, then add your preferred payment method and terms (for example, "due within 7 days").
Export your invoice as a PDF, print it, or share a quick summary with your client on WhatsApp.
You can do all of this in one place with our free invoice generator, which calculates every total automatically.
